Young men engaged in a YDI leadership workshop
Our Programs

Five Pillars. One Purpose.

Every program we run is built around one belief: when young men are given access, support, and opportunity — they rise. Here's how we make that happen.

Built for Young Men Ages 12–25

YDI's programs are designed to meet young men where they are — in middle school, high school, and college — and walk alongside them through every stage of their development. Each pillar works together to build the whole person: mind, character, community, and spirit.

Leadership Development

Developing the leaders their communities are waiting for.

Leadership isn't a title — it's a practice. YDI's leadership programming puts young men in real leadership roles, giving them the experience, feedback, and coaching they need to lead with confidence and purpose.

Through workshops, retreats, speaking opportunities, and peer leadership councils, participants develop decision-making skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to inspire others.

What's included

  • Leadership workshops and retreats
  • Public speaking and communication training
  • Peer leadership councils
  • John Maxwell-based leadership curriculum

Community Engagement

Giving back is not optional — it's who we are.

YDI young men are not just recipients of support — they are contributors to their communities. Our community engagement pillar instills a deep sense of civic responsibility and the habit of service.

From neighborhood clean-ups to food drives, mentoring younger students, and participating in local government, our young men learn that their presence and effort matter.

What's included

  • Civic engagement and local government exposure

Mental Health

Strong men talk. Strong men heal. Strong men grow.

Mental health is not a weakness — it is the foundation of everything else. YDI creates safe, judgment-free spaces where young men can process their experiences, build emotional resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.

Led by trained coaches and counselors, our mental wellness programming normalizes conversations about stress, identity, trauma, and purpose — and connects young men to professional resources when needed.

What's included

  • Safe peer support circles
  • Mental Health Coach-led sessions
  • Stress management and coping skills
  • Referrals to professional counseling resources

Education

Access to knowledge is access to power.

Education is the great equalizer — but only when young men have the support to succeed in it. YDI's education pillar removes barriers and opens doors, from tutoring and homework help to college visits and scholarship guidance.

We also expose young men to careers, industries, and professionals they may never have encountered otherwise — expanding what they believe is possible for their own futures.

What's included

  • Academic tutoring and homework support
  • College prep and campus visits
  • Scholarship and financial aid guidance
  • Career exposure and professional networking

Spiritual Growth

Purpose-driven men start from the inside out.

YDI believes in developing the whole person — and that includes the inner life. Our spiritual growth pillar helps young men connect to a sense of purpose, values, and identity that goes deeper than achievement.

Through reflection, biblical counseling resources, and conversations about faith, character, and calling, young men are equipped to lead from a place of inner strength and conviction.

What's included

  • Reflection and mindfulness practices
  • Biblical counseling resources
  • Character and values development
  • Purpose and calling conversations

AI Training

AI is here to stay — and our young men will be ready.

The world is changing fast, and artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry — from healthcare and business to education and the arts. YDI is committed to making sure our young men are not left behind. They will be equipped, empowered, and positioned to lead in the AI era.

Through hands-on workshops, real-world projects, and exposure to AI tools and careers, participants build practical skills in AI literacy, prompt engineering, data thinking, and responsible technology use — giving them a competitive edge in school, work, and entrepreneurship.

What's included

  • Hands-on AI tools and technology workshops
  • Prompt engineering and AI literacy training
  • Career exposure in tech, data, and AI industries
  • Responsible and ethical AI use education
